building a business fastIf you’re here reading this, you want to commit to your rise in the world of real estate. But wanting and doing are two very different things. The question becomes, “Will you do what it takes to build your real estate business fast?” Starting a real estate business, that is, becoming a real estate agent means you’ve already been through a lot. You’ve taken classes, done research, and passed exams. But all that work you’ve already accomplished does not build a business. I want to give you concise tips for real estate agents looking to build their business quickly. In this Realtor guidebook we’ve already worked through a lot of how-to scenarios. But this article is going to talk about building your business fast with the hundred day list master challenge. I hope you’re up for it!

The reality is that everybody wants more right now but we typically want the rewards without the struggle. It’s easy to see other people living a great looking life and assuming it was easy for them. Even when successful people talk about their struggles, we tend to gleam over it as if it doesn’t matter. We see our own situation as different. And we see our struggles being harder; even if we don’t admit that to anyone but yourself. That’s normal and natural because we’re the only ones living our lives. To see some one that’s already “made it” gives us a false sense of the work involved.

One Hundred Day Challenge

The hundred day list master challenge is for people that are willing to go through that initial struggle. It is for achievers; it’s not for shortcut seekers or excuse makers. And the industry is full of them. This challenge will crush the average agent because they want their life to be a balance between personal and work. But when you start a business, you no longer have a personal life; for awhile at least. You’re on the clock 24/7 doing any and everything to make this business work. This challenge is for people who are driven to excel and be the best. You’ll need to know how to set goals, accomplish those goals, and continue to strive for more.

We all need a network of others to help keep our head in the game. That’s your Network of Realtorssupport group and it can be the people you follow on social media, business associates, or friends. This is meant to help you break through those times when you get down on yourself. When you’re lacking in productivity and just want to quit. We all feel that way at some point or another but never should we stop working toward our goals. Not even for one day… Take a break, sure, but never for one moment think about quitting.

Begin today:

The one hundred day challenge comes in all shapes and sizes orchestrated by lots of different people. A lot of challenges have you paying for a guidebook but I want to give you the gist of it. If you have trouble holding yourself accountable, you may need another option. But the whole point is that you wholeheartedly keep yourself accountable! I want you to start today. Not after the weekend or after your mini vacation… Today. And I want you to do this challenge for 100 days. That’s less than a third of a whole year and I promise you, it will be worth it.

Firstly, make a list of the goals you want to achieve. Make these goals realistic but not too easy. Next, make a list of what you can do each day to achieve those goals. Now, if you can’t even sit down and take twenty minutes to write these things down… How are you going to succeed? The fastest way to build your real estate business is by working at it day in and day out. At 100 days of working at it with our Realtor guidebook, you will have developed a pattern of working. It’s all about goals people!

Even Experienced Realtors Need a Boost

Better real estate agentsIf you’re a top producer or an experienced agent who’s been having some success that’s great. But that doesn’t mean you don’t need our tips for real estate agents. So many established Realtors are living a fast-paced, stressful life where you have very little time for yourself.  That’s what it should be like in the beginning of your career, not the middle or end. I look back on my career as a real estate agent and I missed so much of my kids growing up, chasing that elusive dream of success. And it cost me years of guilt and turmoil in my life. Looking back, I wish I would have started fast, grew my business, and then worked it out so I could relax. The saying is, “Work smarter, not harder” right?

When you don’t have the money to invest in yourself or your dreams, you have to invest time. And let’s face it, most of us starting our careers don’t have a lot of money. We can’t just hire an assistant and social media coordinator. We have to do it all ourselves. You have to gain control of your business from the very start and never let that control go. Eventually you can hire people with your same work ethic and that will take some weight off your shoulders. And that’s what this is all about. You start small, work hard (extremely hard), grow fast, and then settle in to it. Don’t ever blame your failings on other circumstances like a market crash or natural disaster. Things are always going to happen. It’s up to you to find solutions that help others and you will end up also helping yourself.

What Matters Most

So, you know you need to be knowledgeable and overly hardworking. But to build your real estate business, you need to be honest. In this Realtor Guidebook we’ve given a lot of amazing tips for real estate agents but this is key. Truth and honesty; with yourself and with others.  Get honest, real and raw with yourself about where your life is heading and what improvements you can make. In a matter of months I went from having one of the top teams in my market. I was voted the number one realtor of the year in the number one Century21 office in the world. As well, I was sleeping in my office with a suitcase of clothing because I woke up early and never went home. Starting out like that is persistence. I had no life outside work and I was telling myself it was for a greater good. I wasn’t being honest about how miserable I was. And I worked more so I didn’t have to feel that misery.

In the same vain, be honest with your clients. When you show a house, improvebe an honest agent a house, or take a house to market… Be honest every step of the way. There are a few people that will not appreciate your honesty and go with a different Realtor. Your goal is to help, not hinder, so just let them know your door is always open.

What I’m talking about is changing everything in your life. Re-examining and possibly rebuilding everything in your business from the ground up. The challenge is an elite transformation journey for full-time real estate agents who want more, who want the best of everything… So if that’s you and you know that’s what you want then you know what the next step is.

More than full time…

The challenge will probably be one of the hardest things you have ever done in your life. It’s like working more than full time but it’s just for 100 days to get you going. This will jump start your business and make it grow quickly. The question is, “Are you willing to do whatever it takes?”

This is for agents who are full-time now. This is not for part-timers or some timers. Now, I don’t care about how long you’ve been in business or your production level. You just need to be committed and willing to put the time in. This challenge has you working 8-12 hours a day for the better part of 100 days. If you make this commitment, you will get clients. You will grow as a business and you will make money. It will set the groundwork for you to continue to succeed as a Realtor. So, take the next 100 days to commit to yourself and to your business.
