Are you Buying a home?
The USDRE can refer you to the perfect real estate agent who can make buying a home, easier. We start with a simple vetting process to find qualified agents. Then we ask what you are specifically looking for such as your timeframe, area, budget, etc so we can match you with agents that can help you.
How is the USDRE different from Zillow, Trulia, Yelp, Realtor.com, and others?
Unlike many real estate websites, the USDRE does not recommend agents based on any financial compensation from the agent.
Agents can list for FREE in the USDRE, and they can pay a nominal fee to be featured in the search listings if they are verified as licensed in their state. It’s as simple as that, no commission-based preference, no referral fees, and no broker agreements. If you need a real estate agent, you can get a referral to 12 of the best agents in your area by using the search box near the bottom of this page.

How to Buy a Home
Let’s start here. How much money do you need as a down payment on a primary residence? Now this largely depends on the type of loan you get and the type of loan you get will affect how much you need on a down payment.
Getting Prequalified
The good thing about getting pre-qualified first before going and looking at a property is that when you do eventually find the right place, you already have everything waiting with the lenders so that you can hit the ground running. And also I found that anytime you find a great property, chances are you’re not the only one that’s looking at it. And you’re going to be competing with other people who feel the exact same way as you do about it.
Timing
Many buyers believe that the best time to buy is between spring and summer, and the worst time to buy would be winter. And this one is partially true. If you’re looking to buy a home in spring or summer, typically you will find a little bit more inventory on the market as many sellers wait for these times to put their homes for sale.
Getting an Agent
Should you get a real estate agent or not? Now, this is a tough one for me to answer because I am a real estate agent. So my answer is going to be skewed slightly towards the Yes,
Timeline
Realistically, for most buyers, I would probably expect this entire home buying process to take anywhere between 45 days and maybe 120 days, I found this to be normal for most people. Typically I see this as being a 30 to 90-day house hunt and then another 30 to 45 days to do all the inspections, get the loan and close on the property.
Making an Offer
Just think to yourself 10 years from now, are you going to care if you paid an extra few grand for the property? Chances are, 10 years from now, it’s not really going to matter.
Even if you are in the beginning stages of buying or selling a home, consulting with a licensed real estate agent can clarify questions you may have. When you think you are ready, get started today by filling out the form and we will pair you up with an agent or broker who is eager to help you with this important decision.
